Westminster Main Street Mile
Samantha Curry set a new team record and personal best in the road mile at Westminster Main Street Mile! She ran 5:03.25 to place 2nd overall. Jicheng (Jason) Liu won his age group and placed 18th overall in 5:11.32.
Credit Union Cherry Blossom 10 Mile & 5k
Clark Otte kicked off Cherry Blossom weekend with the overall win at the 5k on Saturday. His time of 15:04 on a hilly course was almost 20 seconds faster than the next finisher.
On Sunday, Striders once again sent strong teams to compete in the 10 Mile, where our women’s team placed 5th and men’s team placed 6th in their respective DMV Run Club championships.
The women were led by Lydia Radcliffe who broke the 60-minute barrier with a big PR of 59:53. On the men’s side, Stewart Reich led the team in 54:34. In addition to Lydia, Clare McCabe (1:05:59) and Wei Hu (1:03:04) ran new personal bests.
