Location: Wilde Lake High School

Duration: Every Monday for 10 weeks, ending with celebration on June 1 (No practice March 30th for Spring Break)

• The Next Step 10 Mile Program is for runners of varying abilities. Participants will do a 3-mile time trial at Wilde Lake High School on March 23rd so coordinators can group participants with those of similar abilities.
• Weekly training runs will involve a variety of running techniques including speed work and hill work to improve running performance.
• All runners must be able to run 3 miles before starting the program.
• The Next Step 10 Mile training calendar will specifically prepare you for running the Baltimore 10 on June 6th. You will need to register separately for the B-10 if you would like to participate in it.

The program will meet at Wilde Lake High School (5460 Trumpeter Rd, Columbia MD 21044). Nearby running routes include:

• Lake Kittamaqundi
• Howard Community College
• Wilde Lake neighborhoods
• Paths at the beginning of the Bagel Run

The program meets weekly on Mondays at 6:15PM starting on March 23rd and ending on June 1st with a graduation party (No practice Spring March 30th- Spring Break). We run when it rains, but not when there is lightning or thunder!

You must arrive to be ready and start training promptly at 6:15 PM each session!

Registrants must be a HCS member!
