The Run Through the Grapevine is an annual cross-country/trail race at the Linganore Winecellars in Mt. Airy, MD. The scenic and challenging cross-country course loops through the grounds of the winery. For this year, we will be running one race at the 8K distance.

All post-race activities will be outside in and around the bandstand pavilion. There will be snacks and drinks such as
water, Gatorade, and apple cider available to registered participants. Awards will be held once sufficient finishers have
filled in all the brackets.
We encourage you to visit the tasting room, bring a picnic and stay to relax. Linganore will be providing live music
starting around 1pm.
Partnership with CAC
This fall, the Howard County Striders (HCS) are partnering with the Community Action Council (CAC)
of Howard County to offer a unique two-part event:
Part 1: Head over to CAC’s website and sign up for the virtual Steps Forward fundraiser that
begins September 1st and ends November 2nd. Challenge yourself, or join a team, to raise
awareness and help fund critical CAC programs. Turn your walk and run miles into measurable
support.
Part 2: Sign up for HCS’s Run through the Grapevine on November 2nd featuring an 8 km
(4.9mi) course weaving through fields, wooded single track, and the grapevines of Linganore
Winery in Mt. Airy, Maryland.
Once you’ve signed up for Steps Forward, you will receive a discount code (20% on your registration fee).
You can sign up for one, the other, or both. For those who participate in both, we encourage you to
wear your Steps Forward shirt in person so we can celebrate and acknowledge you on race morning
at the Winery.
One final and important note: there will be a non-perishable food drive on race morning benefitting the
Howard County Food Bank, to help them stock up and prepare for the upcoming holiday season.

Packet Pickup
Packet pickup will ONLY be available on race morning Sunday, November 2nd between 8:30am-9:30am. Packet pickup volunteers will be set up in the small pavilion near the start/finish line.
