Turkey Trots

At the LARS Race Against Hunger and Homelessness 5k Turkey Trot in Laurel, MD, Akintunde Morakinyo placed 24th overall and 1st in his age group with a time of 20:20.

At the Naperville Noon Lions Turkey Trot 5k in Naperville, IL, Clark Otte placed 3rd overall for men (15:07) and Clare McCabe placed 6th overall for women (19:29).

Eric Schuler placed 6th overall (1st in his age group) with a time of 17:41 at the YMCA Turkey Trot (Ellicott City)

Much further from home, Kristen Gray finished as the 1st female (2nd overall finisher) at the Al Udeid Air Base Turkey Trot 5k with a time of 17:38.

Team members volunteered at and participated in the Striders Turkey Trot Prediction Run, attempting to finish the 10k as close to 11:00 AM as possible. The top finisher for the team was John Chall (19th place), who finished 26.35 seconds after 11:00.

NCR Half & Full Marathon

Samantha Curry and Paul Hugus took the overall wins at the NCR Marathon! Sam ran a 7+ minute PR and broke the 3-hour barrier with her time of 2:57:30.77. Paul improved his personal best by 12 minutes to run 2:34:38.29, which also set a new Masters racing team record!

In the half marathon, Hannah Betman took the win, running 1:18:03.97 in a final tune-up for her upcoming marathon. Kevin Ford placed 6th (1st in his age group) in 1:20:32.45 and Jason Tripp placed 8th (also 1st in his age group) in 1:23:24.78.
