Run Through the Grapevine 8k
The Striders hosted the Run Through the Grapevine 8k at Linganore Winecellars, a cross country race on a notoriously challenging course. The team had a strong showing with several top finishers. On the women’s side, Alexandra Carrizales took 1st overall female in 34:23. For the men, Paul Hugus was the top finisher, placing 2nd overall with a time of 31:32. Adam Wytko finished 3rd in 32:31 and Sean Caskey finished 6th in 34:02.
This year, the Striders partnered with the Community Action Council of Howard County for this race. The racing team made a donation of non-perishable items for the local food bank.
NYC Marathon
Caroline Bauer finished the New York City Marathon in 2:54:56, placing 10th in her age group in the world championship. She had been selected as part of Puma’s Project3 at this race, a program that provides elite athlete support and Puma gear. Wei Hu ran 3:08:39.
Baltimore and Annapolis Trail ParkRun 5k
Debbie Cohen ran 28:27 at the B&A Trail ParkRun, finishing 1st in her age group and 3rd overall female.
