Broad Street Run
It was a fast day for Striders runners at the Broad Street Run 10 Mile! Hannah Betman placed 11th overall in a very competitive field, finishing in 56:52. Jicheng (Jason) Liu placed 4th in his age group and set a new PR of 1:00:33. Akintunde Morakinyo also placed 4th in his age group, finishing in 1:05:29.
Frederick Running Festival
At the Frederick Half Marathon, Kevin Ford finished 7th overall (1st in his age group) in 1:14:30. Qiang Tian placed 4th in his age group in 1:27:44. Wei Hu was 2nd overall in the Nut Job Challenge: he ran 19:14 at the Saturday evening Twilight 5k to place 4th overall (1st in his age) group and then ran 1:25:09 to place 2nd in his age group at the Saturday morning half marathon.
Flying Pig Marathon
Sean Caskey ran the Flying Pig Marathon in Ohio, and has now run a marathon in 15 different states. He placed 19th overall (2nd in his age group) with a time of 2:42:02.
Pittsburgh Marathon Weekend
Jason Sammut celebrated his 30th birthday by running 3:03:03 at the Pittsburgh Marathon. In the half marathon, Eric Schuler ran 1:17:23.
