In mid-Spring each year, the Howard County Striders host a foot race event called the “Women’s Distance Festival 5K”. The community hosts between 200 and 300 runners from all over Maryland and Washington, DC. This race is part of a series of women’s only events put on by many of the RRCA running clubs in Maryland and DC.
The Howard County Striders greatly appreciates all the love, support, and cheering that residents along the course have provided each winter!
Between the hours of 7:30am and 9:30am on Sunday morning, there will be rolling road closures enforced by the Howard County Police. In addition, there will be reduced travel lane widths or turn restrictions in place along portions of Hickory Ridge Road and Owen Brown Road.
