Pamela Jock

Pamela started her lifelong love affair with running in Junior High School when she ran on the boys track team.  In the late 90’s she moved to NOVA where she became a member of MCRRC, ran her first few of 30 marathons, became a certified coach, and was a founding coach of their XMP program before moving to HoCo.  Then her children took priority, and Pamela returned competitively to the sport as a member of HCS and was a participant in the 2014 next step half/full program. Pamela has run hundreds of half marathons, five of the six Abbott World Majors, has completed 8 Boston Marathons (skipped 3), and enjoys running 4, 6 and 8 hour trail races.

Pamela loves to coach people of all ages and abilities.  She has coached HCS next step programs as a lead coach, coach and sub coach since 2017.  She also coaches Bullseye/HCS Junior Striders T&F and XC programs where she hopes to inspire young people to love the sport, see their potential, set and achieve their goals.  Pamela is fulfilled (and inspired!) helping others achieve their goals, and often runs races with friends to enjoy the journey and sometimes achieve their objective. Despite having multiple autoimmune diseases, Pamela perseveres and doesn’t let them define her.  The greatest gift of running for Pamela is the lifelong friendships she has made, and sense of community. Especially as an avid volunteer with wear blue: run to remember.  Her personal running goal is to run with joy and gratitude for the rest of her life.
