I’ve always played sports recreationally, and I picked up running after college. I fell into it pretty quickly, running several half and full marathons, including Boston in 2014. Then came three kids and a full time job. I kept running when I could, which wasn’t always much. But joining Next Steps half/full training group in 2023 was a turning point. I’d never done any real speed work before (I’d never even set foot on a track) so that was a whole new world. I ran a big marathon PR that fall and have kept improving since. Beyond the training itself, I’ve really loved getting to know more of the running community here.
As for goals, I want to see if I can keep improving while also having fun! I’d also like to make a point to race at different distances, both on roads and trails.
