Andrew Madison
Andrew Madison started running at the age of 12 in local 5k-15k races with the Annapolis Striders. After running track in high school for South River in Anne Arundel County, he ran Division I Track and Cross Country for UMBC. Since graduating college, Andrew has explored the longer distances, running his first marathon in the fall of 2010 (Baltimore). He was Striders Runner-of-the-Year in 2014 and 2018. Andrew is an avid Bagel water volunteer and has often stepped in to coach competitive groups over multiple months-long periods (e.g., preparing for Spring races). Andrew was the Striders Runner of the Year in 2014 and 2018. He has been the top Strider in the RRCA Club Challenge and the top Strider in the Cherry Blossom 10m in 2023, 2019, and 2018. He has won the Annapolis 10 Mile, Clyde’s 10k, Kelly Shamrock 5k, Baltimore Running Festival 5k, Food Market 10k among local races.
