Howard County Striders Races
Special Races
The Howard County Striders hold a variety of large races year-round. The events are primarily held in Columbia, MD and range in distance from 5K to 10 mile. These larger races include premiums for registrants, post-race food and activities, and top local competition. They include:
- MD-DC RRCA 10 Mile Club Challenge
- Spring Hops 5K
- Women’s Distance Festival 5K
- Run Through The Grapevine 8K
Low-key Events
In addition to the larger races, the Howard County Striders also host several smaller events. They are less expensive and only include a few awards and light post-race refreshments. The low-key races are intended to be fun events and include unique experiences like prediction runs and the All Fruit Relay. They include:
- Resolution Prediction Run 8K
- All Fruit Relay
- Two Person 5M Relay
- Meet of Miles
- Turkey Trot Prediction Run 10K
Striders Series
The Howard County Striders host several mini-race series throughout the year. They have minimal entry fees and include cross country events during the summer, a one-mile family race in the Centennial neighborhoods, and seasonal weekly series races.
