80 runners came out on a pleasant fall day for the Howard County Striders weekly race at Longfellow Elementary on 11-21-10. Ted Poulos and Alison Suckling won the two mile race. Travis Boccher and Rebecca Schwartz won the 10k. Karsten Brown and Karen Young won the 15k event.

The D-tag system was used in anticipation of the Run through the Grapevine and Metric Marathon events coming up in November.

62 runners came out on a warm fall afternoon to run the weekly series race at Longfellow elementary. Stephen Olenick and Gabriella Stegall won the 2 mile; John Chall and Jaimee Joroff won the 10k; and Karsten Brown and Karen Young won the 15k events. Karsten set a new course record by 58 seconds! Must’ve been the hair cut.

Summer Sizzler Series #3

65 runners came out on another hot and humid evening for the third weekly summer race of the Howard County Striders at Thunder Hill Elementary on wed 8-4. Karsten Brown and Terri Wytko won the 10k race, while Maurice Pointer and Debbie Sharp won the 2 mile run. The 10k runners all wore d-tags on their shoes as the striders used this race to test out their new chip timing system.
