5-Mile 2-Person Relay
22 teams survived a late start due to equipment difficulties to run the Howard County striders 5 mile 2 person relay event at Atholton High School. Runners alternate ten 1/4 mile laps around the track to reach the 5 miles. Mark Eagles and Mark Loeffler led the way in a blistering 24:15.

19 teams with pun-filed fruit names competed in the Howard County striders all-fruit relay Sunday afternoon at Oakland Mills Middle School. Teams of up to 4 ran a total of 8 miles, carrying some sort of fruit baton. The bullseye bananas won the race in a time of 50:14.

Vernal Velocity Series Awards
48 runners came out on a sunny Mother’s day to run the Howard County striders weekly series awards race at Longfellow Elementry school. Weekly series award winners were given striders logo water bottles. Mark Eagles and Alexa Mullican were the 2 mile winners. Karsten Brown and Bethany Mcgee led the 10k runners.
