59 runners, young and old took part in the Howard County striders meet of miles at Long Reach High School.  Christopher Blackwood and Matoria Mock led the 100 meter dash runners.  Nathan Siegal and Susanna McCaffrey were the 400 meter winners.  Mark Eagles and Lucy Howe paced all the milers.  View photos here.

26 teams of two runners alternated 10 laps on the track while competing in the Howard County Striders 5 mile two person relay.  There were several fast times, despite the hot and humid conditions.  Samuel Iseman and Will Jones led all runners.  Terri and Adam Wytko led the mixed teams. Marcie Burkhart and Alyssa Mitchell were the Women pacers.

All Fruit Relay

All Fruit Relay

11 teams and their fruits completed this year’s Howard County Striders All Fruit Relay, running 4 legs of 2 miles each while carrying a piece of fruit for a baton. Team Lemon Show You How It’s Done, the 2-man team of John Chall and Steve Turner, showed us how it’s done with a winning finish in 52:21. No fruits were harmed during the running of this race.
