DESCRIPTION:Next Step Hibernation to 5K is a no frills\, get to work right away program to encourage a quick start to the new year. This program is for both beginning runners and more experienced adult runners (18+) that just need to get off the couch after a long winter! Although we only train as a group once a week\, participants should expect to be devoting time for 3-4 workouts each week in order to maximize their progress. The coordinators for this program are the dynamic duo of Bill Arbelaez and Rene Alonso. DESCRIPTION:The Sunday Strides (formerly “weekly series”) races are conducted at various locations around Howard County. Separate races ranging in distance from 1 mile to 15 kilometers are scheduled for throughout the spring\, fall\, and winter seasons. Each series culminates in the distribution of series awards. While these races emphasize participation\, we also reward performance. Some additional details: \n\n\n\nWater will be available on longer courses. \n\n\n\nAll races begin at 2pm unless otherwise noted \n\n\n\nShow up no more than 30 minutes before the race to register. \n\n\n\nRunners of all abilities and ages are welcome\, including non-Striders! \n\n\n\nSorry\, no bathroom facilities will be available 🙁 \n\n\n\nCourse finding is your responsibility! Minimal markings will be provided\, but races are on open roads or paths and there may be few or no course marshals.

DESCRIPTION:Every Saturday at 7 am\, Striders and friends meet at the Columbia Swim Center parking lot to run anywhere from 6-20 miles. All paces are welcome. The run starts at 7 am SHARP! Plan to arrive early. If it is your first run with the group\, introduce yourself\, and you should be able to find some runners who are going at your own pace. Volunteers usually provide water at 1-3 (depending on distance) stops. Join us for this Howard County running tradition that has run every Saturday for 40+ years. After the run\, many runners head to Bagel Bin Deli in the Wilde Lake Village Center for coffee\, bagels\, and socializing. DESCRIPTION:The Sunday Strides (formerly “weekly series”) races are conducted at various locations around Howard County. Separate races ranging in distance from 1 mile to 15 kilometers are scheduled for throughout the spring\, fall\, and winter seasons. Each series culminates in the distribution of series awards. While these races emphasize participation\, we also reward performance. Some additional details: \n\n\n\nWater will be available on longer courses. \n\n\n\nAll races begin at 2pm unless otherwise noted \n\n\n\nShow up no more than 30 minutes before the race to register. \n\n\n\nRunners of all abilities and ages are welcome\, including non-Striders! \n\n\n\nSorry\, no bathroom facilities will be available 🙁 \n\n\n\nCourse finding is your responsibility! Minimal markings will be provided\, but races are on open roads or paths and there may be few or no course marshals.
