DESCRIPTION:The Spring Hops 5K is a cross country race held at the Red Shedman Brewery. The course is similar to the Striders’ Run Through the Grapevine 8K\, which is held at the same site. The scenic and challenging course loops through the grounds of the grapevines of the winery and hop yards of the brewery. \n\n\n\nAll finishers get one pour of a Red Shedman beverage. \n\n\n\n** Team Option ** \n\n\n\nGrab a buddy because we’re offering a team option. Teams can be composed of only two runners. Awards will be given for male – male\, female – female\, and male – female teams based on the combined age of the team on race day. In the case of the Howard County Striders prediction runs\, the goal is to finish as close to 11:00am as possible. One way the Striders prediction runs differ from many other runs is that you get to start whenever you want – whoever finishes closest to 11:00am wins. Oh\, and one important thing: you CANNOT use any sort of timing device. Also\, no baby strollers\, iPods\, headphones\, or animals. \n\n\n\nAfter the run\, enjoy refreshments in the neighborhood center while we announce the awards for the top 3 closest finishers.
