DESCRIPTION:The 23nd Annual Ellicott City Labor Day 10K & 5K is scheduled to take place on Saturday\, Sept 5th\, 2026\, at 8:00 a.m. \n\n\n\nHere’s the registration link and event on Active.com \n\n\n\nThe 10k is a road race through scenic western Ellicott City countryside and surrounding neighborhoods and the 5k is a road/trail (dirt/grass) combo on roads and scenic trails on the Shrine property. Both the 10K & 5K are USATF certified. \n\n\n\nThis is a great family event with lots of activities planned. In addition to refreshments\, we will have music\, random prizes\, a moonbounce and snow balls. Cash awards ($75\, $50\, and $25 for 1st\, 2nd and 3rd place overall male & female finishers in both races) and non-cash awards will be provided in 7 age group categories for 1st\, 2nd and 3rd place. \n\n\n\nPerformance T-Shirts guaranteed to participants registered by August 11. \n\n\n\nChip Timing by www.bullseyerunning.com

SUMMARY:2026 Turkey Trot Prediction Run 10K
DESCRIPTION:A prediction run is entirely different from other races that you’ve run in the past. Rather than finishing first or running the fastest\, the object of a prediction run is to finish as close to a certain time as possible. In the case of the Howard County Striders prediction runs\, the goal is to finish as close to 11:00am as possible. One way the Striders prediction runs differ from many other runs is that you get to start whenever you want – whoever finishes closest to 11:00am wins. Oh\, and one important thing\, you CANNOT use any sort of timing device. Also\, no baby strollers\, iPods\, headphones or animals.
