DESCRIPTION:The Sunday Strides (formerly “weekly series”) races are conducted at various locations around Howard County. Separate races ranging in distance from 1 mile to 15 kilometers are scheduled for throughout the spring\, fall\, and winter seasons. Each series culminates in the distribution of series awards. While these races emphasize participation\, we also reward performance. Some additional details: \n\n\n\nWater will be available on longer courses. \n\n\n\nAll races begin at 2pm unless otherwise noted \n\n\n\nShow up no more than 30 minutes before the race to register. \n\n\n\nRunners of all abilities and ages are welcome\, including non-Striders! \n\n\n\nSorry\, no bathroom facilities will be available 🙁 \n\n\n\nCourse finding is your responsibility! Minimal markings will be provided\, but races are on open roads or paths and there may be few or no course marshals.

SUMMARY:Turkey Trot Prediction Run
DESCRIPTION:A prediction run is entirely different from other races that you’ve run in the past. Rather than finishing first or running the fastest\, the object of a prediction run is to finish as close to a certain time as possible. In the case of the Howard County Striders prediction runs\, the goal is to finish as close to 11:00am as possible. One way the Striders prediction runs differ from many other runs is that you get to start whenever you want – whoever finishes closest to 11:00am wins. Oh\, and one important thing\, you CANNOT use any sort of timing device. Also\, no baby strollers\, iPods\, headphones or animals.
