Jason Tripp started running with a 2.5 mile "Run for the Health of It" when he was five years old. He ran the whole Homespun/Broken Land Parkway loop without stopping. He was a charter member of the Junior Striders (for more than 10 years). At Oakland Mills High School, he was captain of a cross country team that set a Maryland record of six straight state championships. He earned three All-County selections in Cross Country and was the 3200 meter County Champion in Indoor Track. Jason ran cross country and track at Haverford College under coach Tom Donnelly as the team won twelve consecutive Conference Championships and competed in the NCAA National Championships. Jason currently serves as Vice President of the Striders and the Race Director for Run Through the Grapevine.
