Conrad Orloff has been a strider since 2003. He began running at the age of 11, when he participated in his hometown's Oak Apple run 10K. He has run cross country and track in high school and at the U.S. Naval Academy. As a submarine officer and a navy diver he ran races for the Navy across countries in the Pacific: Japan, Korea, Guam, Australia, and Fiji. His most notable running achievements are: 1) Qualifying for Boston at age 19 (2:58 at Marine Corps in 1989), 2) Running the last 7 consecutive Boston’s, and 3) 88th place overall at Boston in 2004. He lives in  Columbia, works at the JHU Applied Physics Lab, continues to serve in the naval reserve, and is the proud father of two girls.
